LEGAL NOTICE
BOROUGH OF OAKMONT POLICE OFFICER
The Borough of Oakmont, Allegheny County, is accepting applications, for the purpose of establishing a full time police officer eligibility list.
Applicants must meet the following minimal qualifications:
- Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of appointment.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Possess a current and valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operators License.
- Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certification approved by the Department of Education.
- Be certified under the Act 120, MPOETC, 53 Pa. C.S.A.2161 et seq., or (1) shall be attending Act 120 training or (2) shall have successfully completed Act 120 training and successfully passed the final exam, thus being eligible for Act 120 Certification once hired by the Borough
- Successfully pass all background, polygraph, psychological, and physical exams (Cooper Standard at 30% - NO 1.5 mile run)
Starting Salary in 2026 for Full-Time Officer is $85,014. The top current contract rate is $100,014.
Applications must be obtained at the Oakmont Borough Administrative Office, 767 5th Street, Oakmont, PA 15139. The applicant shall provide a valid PA drivers license as proof of identification.
Applications must be returned in person to Oakmont Borough Administrative Office by 3:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026.
