The City of DeWitt, Iowa (5500 pop.) is now accepting applications for both Certified and Non-Certified Police Officers.

Entry level Non-Certified Officer starting wage is $71,344 annually upon successful completion of the academy, and Certified Officer starting wage is commensurate with experience up to $77,958 annually. Applicants must meet all ILEA requirements, including a comprehensive background investigation, psychological testing, and be examined by a physician, and meet the physical requirements necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of a law enforcement officer as required by ILEA. Additionally, applicants must reside within 50 miles of the city limits within one (1) year of hire.
