FULL TIME OFFICER BRIDGEPORT BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT The Bridgeport Borough Police Department is accepting applications for full time police officers who meet the following criteria: Must be 21 years of age by the date of the application deadline No record of conviction of any felony or violent crime Pass a background investigation including checks of references and credit history Must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit to perform the essential duties of the job Possess a valid Pennsylvania drivers license Have successfully completed a certified police academy and have obtained ACT 120 certification based upon the standards set forth by MPOETC; this includes having successfully completed the certification examination Applications must be picked up at the Bridgeport Borough Police Department, 65 W. 4th Street, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Deadline for submitting completed applications is Friday, May 8th, 2026, at 4:00 PM The Bridgeport Borough Police Department and the Bridgeport Borough Civil Service Commission are holding the written and physical fitness examinations for the full-time police officer process at the Upper Merion Middle School, 265 Crossfield Road, Cafeteria on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at 8:00 AM. All candidates who have successfully applied and submitted their full-time applications are invited to attend. For successful applicants, Interview Boards will be scheduled.
